Monitoring Ground Movement with Millimeter Precision
The Spot TWO is a high-precision GNSS monitoring system equipped with a triple-band antenna, capable of detecting position changes at millimeter-level accuracy. This makes it suitable for continuously monitoring infrastructure such as bridges, buildings, and other critical assets where even small movements matter.
In this project for Rijkswaterstaat, the Spot TWO system monitors multiple InSAR corner reflectors installed in the field. These reflectors serve as stable reference points for satellite radar measurements. The collected GNSS data helps validate satellite observations and contributes to the Dutch national subsidence map, improving the accuracy of large-scale ground movement monitoring across the Netherlands.
